Programmatic Sales Manager - CMG

To help us take our digital content to the next level we’re recruiting for an experienced, ambitious, and creative Programmatic Sales Manager to manage and evolve our entire portfolio.

You'll be responsible for all programmatic and 3rd party revenues across all platforms, which are Crash.net, Visordown.com & Golfmagic.com

What will you be doing?

  • You'll be representing CMG brands to all programmatic trading desks, especially the core ATD’s on key agencies and the core programmatic partners as well as 3rd parties (Inskin, Teads etc)
  • You'll be establishing solid relationships with agency programmatic leads and heads.
  • Beyond the core focus of selling to programmatic partners, you'll be collaborating with wider CMG team to generate maximum revenue.
  • As a sales leader securing advertising revenue, you’ll be an expert in consultations, negotiation and closing.
  • You'll help to ascertain and forecast revenue.
  • You'll be working with pillar management to configure block lists and yield management.
  • You'll be utilising all of the resources at hand to enhance and compliment sell (editorial, ops, development)
  • You’ll be key to the success of growing programmatic revenue in 2017/2018.

  • You have proven sales ability at the highest level.
  • You have technical and operational knowledge of programmatic trading.
  • You have expert knowledge of the programmatic market and media landscape.
  • You have the ability to articulate new ideas and opportunities.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to persuade, negotiate and establish great working relationships with colleagues and clients/agencies.
  • You have proven strategic skills to help facilitate overall publishing vision.
  • You have the ability to train, develop and mentor staff.
  • You have a full understanding and interest in wider media issues and a sound understanding of the media marketplace.

To help us take our digital content to the next level we’re recruiting for an experienced, ambitious, and creative Industry Sales Manager to manage and evolve our motorsport and motorcycle clients

You'll be responsible for direct commercial revenues across our two largest websites, Crash.net, the biggest independent global motorsports site with 2M+ monthly unique users, and Visordown.com, a rapidly growing online motorcycle community with 1M monthly unique users.

Working location is flexible.

The Role

  • Work with Head of Revenue to devise and execute the digital sales strategy across Motorcycling and Motorsports market
  • Identify revenue growth opportunities within the Motorcycling & Motorsports market
  • Consistently push new and innovative ideas across all platforms
  • Maintain a constant focus on short and long term revenues
  • Attend all relevant industry events
  • Produce case studies around outstanding work ensuring positive results are incorporated
  • To work closely with all depts within CMG
  • Weekly reporting - Revenue vs budget, client update, wins/losses, moves, pipeline
  • Monthly Key Account report - Spend, YoY, Visibility, sales focus
  • Be an ambassador for CMG at all times
 

Required Skills

You'll be responsible for the content produced across our two largest websites, Crash.net, the biggest independent global motorsports site with 2M+ monthly unique users, and Visordown.com, a rapidly growing online motorcycle community with 1M monthly unique users.
The role

  • Create and implement a digital content strategy to increase our brand USPs and set us further apart and ahead of our competition
  • Manage content plan to achieve KPIs, including # articles published, sessions, uniques, page views, video views, and bounce rate, and provide regular reporting to core business stakeholders
  • Maximise use and growth of all promotional channels including social media and email
  • Ensure all content is on-brand and consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice
  • Review and enhance SEO to increase organic traffic
  • Work closely with commercial teams to devise innovative content campaigns with brand partners and ensure all sold campaigns are delivered to and above expectations
  • Report directly to, and work closely with the CMO, to build brands, raise awareness, drive traffic and increase revenue growth
  • Development of a measurement & evaluation framework that provides key performance indicators and actionable insights to improve ongoing content development
  • Manage a content team of 6+ people

Required skills/ experience

  • Experience creating and managing content strategies and plans, and achieving KPIs
  • Passion/knowledge in motorsports/motorcycles
  • Extensive experience of SEO for large websites and analytics
  • Experience managing a team
  • Strong illustratable abilities in project management
  • Excellent communicator
  • Very organised

Senior Sales Manager – Trading Desk & Client Direct

Salary: £45-£55k depending on experience + Uncapped commission

 

About Us

Crash Media Group is a next-gen specialist media company – fusing audiences, technology and data. The company has undergone rapid expansion for the past two years and as a result we are looking to expand our commercial team.

We have 4 properties where we want to increase our commercial output directly through brands and media agencies, they are: Crash.net, Visordown.com, Bikesportnews.com and GolfMagic.com – collectively reaching 3.5 million users per month across Motorsport, Motorcycling and Golf.

The Role

Working closely with the Ad Ops team, the ideal candidate will leverage their trading desk and big agency relationships to discuss, propose, negotiate and activate PMP and traditional media deals across our portfolio. This role will also involve growing business with existing and new clients directly through developing and maintaining relationships. You will firstly be a hunter not a farmer - and hungry to achieve both business and personal rewards through monthly and quarterly targets.

Requirements/Experience

  • 4 years+ sales experience within digital advertising – ideally at a respected publishing company.
  • Traditional Display, Sponsorship and Programmatic deal making experience.
  • Extensive contacts within the big four agency companies (WPP, Interpublic, Omnicom, Publicis).
  • Demonstrable experience in driving revenue with agencies/clients within the digital media space.
  • Highly motivated to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong new business development skills and relationship builder.
  • Passionate about emerging technologies within the digital advertising space and programmatic.
 

Good to have

  • Experience working with brands in sports / luxury markets.
  • Google Analytics / Social media insights experience.
  • Knowledge of Ad Technology – Google, AOL etc.
  • Degree educated.
  • Experience working to KPI’s.
