Crash Media Group - Commercial Director

Crash Media Group - the owners of Crash.net, Visordown.com & Golfmagic.com are looking to hire a Commercial Director

2017 has been an exceptional year for CMG. All of our sites have achieved record levels of traffic and we have grown all of our social media platforms substantially. We have also launched Visordown Marketplace - a free to use service for dealers and private sellers to buy and sell bikes. Our largest site Crash.net (2m UU’s / month) also went through a major rebrand and relaunch to make it far more user and client friendly.

To capitalise on this success, we are looking to hire a Commercial Director to oversee all commercial operations within the business.

You will lead the commercial operations from top to bottom which will include overseeing all sites and taking on some responsibility for our other products PRM and Accelerate.

We need an individual that has an extremely good sales and business development record. On top of that need to be well organised and have exceptional management skills as you will grow and develop the team

You will have an amazing contact book in one of more of the industries that the websites cover, or indeed the London agency marketplace.

Obviously, an interest in one or more of our sports is preferable but not essential. Given the fact that we do work in some very high profile sports, one of the major perks is that you will get to attend some of the events.

This is a terrific role for right candidate and he/she will be given the freedom they need to grow with the business.

Requirements

  • 7+ years purely digital sales experience
  • Excellent business developer
  • Ability to operate at the highest levels of industry
  • Detail orientated
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Contacts at one or more of the industries we work in – Motorcycling, Motorsport (F1 preferably), Golf or London Agency
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Board level reporting capability
  • Foreign language preferable but not essential

Sales Executive – Motorcycling

Visordown is the largest digital Motorcycling media brand in the UK and is going from strength to strength. In 2017 we smashed our record for number of visitors on site in any one month with 1.1m users in November. We have also just launched Visordown Marketplace which is a free to use service for dealers and private sellers to buy and sell bikes so we fully expect to beat that record again in 2018.

In addition to increasing our users on site we also had tremendous growth on all our social platforms with both our Facebook and You Tube subscriber bases growing by a third.

We are looking for a Sales Executive to join the Visordown team to ensure that we capitalise on what has been an excellent 2017.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Winning new business
  • Delivering revenue
  • Grow and maintain relationships
  • Regularly communicate with clients both face to face and on the phone
  • Reporting on client performance to the Commercial Director
  • Keeping up to speed (pun intended) on the latest developments within both the motorcycle and digital industries
  • Attend industry events incl. race weekends

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a motorcyclist
  • Have good contacts in the motorcycling industry and /or London agencies
  • Have a very good grasp of the digital world and what can be possible in it.
  • Be confident
  • Present information well
  • Not be afraid of the telephone
  • Sales experience

Business Development Manager – Motorsport

Crash.net is the largest independent motorsport website in the world. And 2017 has been a great year. Not only did we achieve our record level of traffic, 2m UU’s in a month. We also totally relaunched the site to make it more user and client friendly.

To that end Crash Media Group is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to work across Crash.net but also be able to open doors across our other products that are deeply embedding in Motorsport (PRM and Accelerate)

The role is massively wide ranging and would suit anyone who has an excellent track record in sales and business development with an extensive Motorsport contact book to match.

You will be very comfortable discussing all aspects of our motorsports products and advising us as to what products we should think about launching to further embed ourselves in the Motorsports paddock, especially within F1.

Given motorsports is a global business travel could be extensive and would suit an individual that thrives in this environment.
