Social Media Specialist

Crash Media Group owns some of the biggest publisher websites in Formula 1, MotoGP, motorcycling, and golf.

Combined they receive more than 3.5M unique visitors a month and have more than a million followers across their social media channels.

To continue the growth of our audience and our brands we're looking for a Social Media Specialist to manage our social media content and platforms.

Salary is dependent on experience but up to £30k for the right candidate, plus opportunities to attend industry exclusive events around the world.

The role

  • Manage our key social networks Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn (YouTube is managed by our video team but experience here a big bonus)
  • Identify new social media opportunities and grow our audience via new channels
  • Create consistent branding across all social content and channels for all our titles including Crash.net, Visordown.com, Bikesportnews.com and GolfMagic.com
  • Regularly create, publish, and schedule content to achieve engagement, build brand awareness, and drive traffic to our sites
  • Work closely with each site's content team to steer their social posting, offer guidance, and build on their current social output
  • Give each of our brands a clear tone of voice and USP across social media
  • Increase our social media followers and manage our social communities

Essential

  • Passion for and experience managing and growing social networks
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to engage different audiences
  • Ability to work to targets and use social insights to improve performance

Bonus

  • Knowledge and passion for motorsports, motorcycling, golf, sport in general
  • Experience using Facebook advertising tools
  • Strong SEO knowledge
  • Experience using Google Adwords, Mailchimp/email marketing, Google Analytics
  • Video creation/ editing skills
  • Adobe Creative Suite knowledge, particularly photoshop

Golf Equipment And Video Editor

GolfMagic is one of the largest golf websites in Europe and the only golf site aimed squarely at 18-35-year-olds.

We've been on a phenomenal run over the last two years growing our audience to 400,000 monthly users, while gaining the largest social media presence of any digital golf publisher outside of America with more than 170,000 followers.

To further boost our digital content we're recruiting for a Golf Equipment and Video Editor to head up all our equipment, apparel, shoes, and travel reviews, producing engaging video, site and social content.

We’re looking for someone to come in and keep GolfMagic’s brilliant success story going, test all the latest golf gear, produce engaging on-brand content for our site and social channels, and attend all the latest brand launches.

Must have:

  • An absolute love of all things golf
  • Competent golfer
  • Experience producing digital content
  • Good knowledge of social media
  • Happy to present to camera
  • Loads of ideas and ambition

Bonus:

  • Video filming + editing experience

Visordown Digital Content Manager

Visordown.com is one of the world's largest motorcycle websites and is rapidly growing with more than a million bikers visiting the site every month.

With a site re-design in the pipeline we're looking for an experienced Digital Content Manager to come on board to continue the brand's development, and help Visordown become the #1 destination online globally for motorcycle reviews, news and video.

Overview

As Visordown's Digital Content Manager your role is to manage and produce content for the website, social and promotional channels to grow Visordown’s audience, increase traffic and page views and elevate Visordown as a brand.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create and manage Visordown content strategy and content plan working closely with the digital editor, content, video, marketing and commercial teams
  • Produce news, features and video content for site and social channels
  • Test ride and review bikes and motorcycle gear
  • Drive forward Visordown as a video-first site by regularly generating video ideas and content to increase views and build the brand, working closely with Content and Video teams
  • Manage Visordown’s content and social team to maximise content and social output and achieve monthly team content and social post targets
  • Own and develop Visordown's tone of voice and branding
  • Weekly reporting internally to Visordown team and wider company
  • Work with the commercial team and CMG clients to effectively deliver paid content campaigns to the highest possible standards
  • Provide and manage Visordown SEO best practice to increase search ranking
  • Manage email output of weekly newsletter and paid solus emails
  • Manage freelancer/ photographer network

Essential

  • Love of motorcycles and good riding ability/ motorcycle experience
  • Experience creating digital content

Sales Executive – Motorcycling

Visordown is the largest digital Motorcycling media brand in the UK and is going from strength to strength. In 2017 we smashed our record for number of visitors on site in any one month with 1.1m users in November. We have also just launched Visordown Marketplace which is a free to use service for dealers and private sellers to buy and sell bikes so we fully expect to beat that record again in 2018.

In addition to increasing our users on site we also had tremendous growth on all our social platforms with both our Facebook and You Tube subscriber bases growing by a third.

We are looking for a Sales Executive to join the Visordown team to ensure that we capitalise on what has been an excellent 2017.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Winning new business
  • Delivering revenue
  • Grow and maintain relationships
  • Regularly communicate with clients both face to face and on the phone
  • Reporting on client performance to the Commercial Director
  • Keeping up to speed (pun intended) on the latest developments within both the motorcycle and digital industries
  • Attend industry events incl. race weekends

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a motorcyclist
  • Have good contacts in the motorcycling industry and /or London agencies
  • Have a very good grasp of the digital world and what can be possible in it.
  • Be confident
  • Present information well
  • Not be afraid of the telephone
  • Sales experience
